Audio levels decrease when exporting
Hi, I’ve been having trouble with this. Everytime a export a multitrack mixdown, the new file’s audio levels are lowered even though the multitrack is exported with the same parameters as the original. Is there a way for my new exported file to have the same leves as the original?

Have you tried altering the levels higher or lower and then check the output? If they come out similar to your -8 then their is limiting going on in the render stage.

No, I didn’t alter anything in the audio file. I just exported it as a .wav file just like the original. Is it normal for the audio levels to lower when you export a file even if it has the same parameters as the original?

Sorry, I didn’t explain that well. I meant if you adjust the volume lower before rendering it out. Do you get similar results, as in a drop in the volume of the rendered file by a similar amount.
If you render the file out at a higher volume, closer to 0db peak or above. What is the output level like from that. I’m curious if there is some limiting or compression being applied.
