    I have an AJA io HD and the audio level coming out of Final Cut into the io is too hot. When I play out the Final Cut Bars and Tone without any adjustments to the level (-12), it’s playing back with some distortion and it shows two yellow bars on the meters on the io. I adjusted the audio playback level from +24 to +12 on the AJA control panel. It lowers the volume, but not on the meters.

    How can I get it calibrated properly?

    Tone should be set to -20. -12 is a hold over from dv days and FCP has never been updated.
