I need help with a wierd audio problem with Premiere 1.5 during playback and export to tape. Audio will occasionally drop 10 to 15db and then return to normal level while playing back the timeline for no apparent reason. When the audio level drops it happens while going clip to clip. I have some processing going in the clips (limiter & compressor) but that should not cause an issue. I don’t think the problem is disk speed since I have no video frames being dropped.

This problem happens to me while exporting to tape a 30 minute show. The audio is fine until about 12 minutes into the program and then it will drop for about 3 seconds and then return to normal. If I stop the export and go back to the timeline I can play the same few clips where I heard the drop in level and it sounds fine. The problem seems to develop over a period of time but is not always consistant. I can export to tape again and the audio will drop during a different time. Any ideas?
