My audio issue is with the MCA on my G5. All my digital audio files, aifs, that I used with my Media100 in the past are coming in extremely hot in the Avid. Also, any new files that I import. I get original music or narration, from an audio studio, as an mp3, I export it as an aif in Quick Time Pro to the specs I’m using in Avid (stereo or mono at 48k). After importing into the Avid, I need to lower these clips -15db using the Mix Tool before I edit them into the timeline. You can see on the Energy Plot that they are still very pumped (see mostly white and little detail) – they sound okay but, this doesn’t seem right. The other elements in the program are talking heads and ambience that I bring in from BetaSP. These levels all look normal and when I do a digital cut to tape – the levels are perfect. I’m using the default setting of -20db allowing peaks to hit -8. Is this a bug?
    Thanks,
    Nancy
