    Audio Issues with Declink / FCP system

    Recently installed a new edit suite with G5 system (10.4.6 OSX — Quad G5 2.5 Gb RAM)
    and Black Magic Decklink Extreme PCI Card;

    All updated drivers and Quicktime 7.1.

    Problem is after capture, analog audio from the card output disappears when trying to playback. By switching the AV playback from 8 bit NTSC (we use 8 bit NTSC – 720×486) to 10 bit NTSC and back again, audio reappears, but disappears once another capture is preformed.

    Any Ideas?

    Hi Chris,

    Is your easy setup (Final Cut Pro > Easy Setup) set up “Blackmagic NTSC – 8 bit”?
