Audio issues rendering h.264 files
Running Premiere Pro/Media Encoder 7.1 on Win 7, 32GB, nVidia K5000. We’re still on 7.1 because we are waiting for instructions from corporate on how they want to handle cloud upgrades. Users do not have admin rights on the systems.
We are rendering HD and SD promos (:30, :20, @ :10 lengths) from the timeline. Output is h.264 MP4 files to send to broadcast server. Using standard Media Encoder presets for 720P (only mod is 59.94 instead of 29.97) and NTSC SD high bitrate.
If we set in/out in the Premiere timeline and render the promos one at a time, everything is beautiful.
If we select “Queue” instead of “Export” and stack them up in Media Encoder for render, then our issue appears.
The exact same promos in the exact same timeline, when rendered in the queue, have bad audio – silence punctuated by rhythmic bursts of random noise. Put enough of these together and you could create the drum track for a bad rap song.
I did do a search, because I thought I remembered reading about an h.264 render bug, but didn’t find anything that matched what is happening to us.
