I have just started editing a wedding ceremony, and have noticed for the first time a strange occurrence with the audio captured on channel 2 (lapel mic on the groom). Whilst someone is speaking the audio is fine, but in between words or sentences the audio drops to silent…. i have opened another finished wedding and found this doesn’t happen… it is almost as if a noise reduction filter has been applied, and it is very noticeable… can anyone throw any light on this problem.
    Regards

See if the Noise Gate is turned on in the Track FX. Each audio track has a Noise Gate, Track EQ, and Track Compressor applied by default. It sounds like the Noise Gate made have has the Threshold raised and is kicking in. Just turn it off or remove it.

I checked the camera settings (I’ve used this camera for 2 years same settings) I can’t get it to repeat the problem at camera. I’m going to try jonhs tip today. Thanks for your response. Martin
