Audio Increase individual clip…
Posted by Chriscjpro on October 2, 2005 at 10:58 pmI am going crazy how to adjust the individual clip volume louder. I can adjust lower but how can you increase the volume on a single clip without having to adjust the entire track of all clips..?

October 2, 2005 at 11:56 pmOne way is right click / switches / normalize. This will bring everything up equally, but if there is already a part that is at or near maximum then very little change will occur unless the loud part is first separated by splitting either side.
The other way is to insert a volume envelope (select track and hit “V”) then double click to create pivot points either side of the event and drag the level upwards for that event.

October 3, 2005 at 12:29 amYou could also right-click>apply non-real-time FX > volume FX, or you could add another video track and copy the same event to it (the cumulative effect is louder playback).

October 3, 2005 at 5:21 amMaybe I didn’t read the question correctly, because the answer to me is so obvious and simple. Right click on the track and add the volume envelope. You can double click on the envelope at the beginning and end of the target clip to make an adjustment point to increase the volume for that clip only. (Actually, you want two points at the beginning and two at the end to keep the prior and subsequent clips unchanged).
