    I’ trying to take a video from a dvd made with nero, and put it on vegas to edit i’m getting the video but not the audio do i need a plug in or solfware to do this . i will be thankfull for your help

    File – Import – DVD Camcorder Disc always works for me.
    It was originally designed for miniDVDs but works with full-size discs as well.
    You’ll need to specify a folder for the imported files.
    Depending on the length of the program, you’ll need to be patient as the files are transcoded from the DVD.

    I have vegas5 i do not have inport- DVD camcorder Disc if i do i can not find it

    Sorry, i dont think that feature is in version 5.
    It would be good for you to update your version
    a bit, to have this and other features at your fingertips
    if you are gonna do extensive work.

    Another option for extracting video from the DVD is MPEG Streamclip from Squared 5. It’s a free app that does a good job extracting video in a form you can use in Vegas. I use it often for that purpose.
