  Audio in .mov clip cuts out

  I have Final Cut Pro 7. I have used the log & transfer to import footage from a p2 card. When I play the footage after they have been imported, you hear sound for maybe about 10 seconds and then it cuts out. It does this to all the clips. The thing about it is I know that the sound works because I have used the files in other editing software such as Avid4, and Premiere CS4. How can I fix this problem? Thank You.
