    I don’t have AE open right now so I can’t check but I don’t think you need to do that. I’m pretty sure that if you check your export settings that for audio, it should be stereo at 44 khz or something like that. I think that AE should do that for you when you render….

    You could just use a suitable output setting on render and AE will duplicate the channel. It will not sound correct, though, and still be mono in the strict meaning. For a technically proper stereo file you’d also have to adjust the gain of both channels.

    Will that work even when exporting as flv?
