    Hey,

I recently installed the PP CS3 trial edition. It seems to be able to do everything that the full version would so far, minus importing mp3’s. I checked out Adobe help and it lists mp3 as a supported format. However when I go to import, it does not show up as a supported file. I tried “show all files” but it gave me an error when trying to import the mp3.

It’s hard to imagine that they would disable such a small specific feature in the trial version, any ideas?

    Thanks~

I’m having the exact same problem. The mp3 file is 44.1KHz and 128 kbps Constant Bit Rate Stereo 16 bit. Seems pretty normal.. anyone have any clues?

    Bradster any luck yet?

For the time being I’ve been using Windows Audio Converter to change my MP3’s to wma’s and they import fine into Premiere. Hope that helps (at least you don’t have to deal with mp3->waves).

No luck with a direct solution. Will probably do something like your approach, convert to wma or wav files and then import. Haven’t tried yet though.
