    Hello folks,

I need to do some voice over work for my documentary. I own the mic, equiped with XLR output and the G5 w/ Final Cut Pro and Avid.

I’m looking for some type of card/box/interface that will get me from XLR audio into my computer. I’m not looking for some huge I/O video device, as I’m only using DV from camera input. I just need XLR to FCP input.

Do small mixers or boxes exist with Firewire or USB connectivity, or XLR audio to USB/Firewire?

    Any recommendations?

    Thank you.

How about going XLR into your camera? Record to tape then capture into FCP. You either have XLR or 1/8″ into your camera.
