  • Audio glitches on export in Media Encoder

Posted by Dan Nastro on April 9, 2014 at 3:03 pm

I notice when I export a video I will occasionally get audio glitches at certain parts of the piece, the spots of the glitches remain constant regardless of how I export or how many times. Also, certain audio music beds will loop and cause for cuts that are way off tempo (and aren’t present in the actual timeline).

Strangely enough, when I export the video within Premiere it all exports fine. While this is a good temp workaround, it’s frustrating that I have to stop work and I can’t batch export. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

    Hi Dan,

Make sure you install the latest updates, there was a bug in 7.1 that would cause glitches on audio transitions.

Also, I still avoid Mp3s, I convert them to Wav in Audition prior to import.

I get a similar problem in PP 7.2.1 — some audio clips will stutter at the beginning of the clip, 8 or 9 repetitions about a frame apart. Only when queueing the renders out to AME.

I’m having the same issues – random audio glitches. Some in .aiff files directly from a VO person. Render and replace audio has no effect. Deleting common folders and preview files has no effect. (Would appreciate help making sure I’ve found all common folders in w8.)

Is there no solution to this? I’ve run into it several times but this is the worst. It’s a sequence with a variety of media, several downloaded youtube files, etc. I know that’s not ideal (trust me) but there is no good reason to have premiere unable to export clean audio from an .aiff!

    Thanks!
