    Check it.

I had a mixed up, mangled up audio mix that was balanced but was getting a little outrageous in terms of editability. So I nested the audio and used that nested audio sequence to put the final touches on a few cuts, and then added som transitioning (crossfades/ volume automation).

On the crossfades, I am getting strange glitching– a jackhammering effect. As the sound plays, a computerized ticking occurs, or a loud pop (thought I burst my eardrum at one point). What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!

I’ve had some kinks in my audio over the years, but nothing like that.

Not a big nesting fan – why not just export the audio as a new audio clip and then use that for the final mix? Simplifies what you’re asking Premiere to do all at once.

    Thanks

Not a bad idea. Seems like a hassle, but I can do this. I’d still wonder the cause of the glitching, however.

I experienced the same problems very recently with Premiere CC 2014 on OSX 10.8.5. I have never really solved it, all I know is that it happens sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t. Either way, it hasn’t shown up on the final render
