  • Audio gets “blips” at the end when I import .MOVs

I’ve noticed lately that when I import .mov files into Avid, there is often a “blip” at the tail end of the audio that’s about 1-3 frames long. Sometimes it sounds distinctly like the audio from another part of the clip. I had been just cutting it out, but I’d rather keep the natural ending of the audio.

Some info that could be helpful:

I’m running Media Composer Version 6.0.1.1
The first clip I imported had a bit rate of 1719 kbps, 1 channel (oddly enough had 8 audio tracks when I imported it), and 48 kHz
The other ones were 64kbps, 2 channels, and 22 kHz.

I also sometimes get something similar when I import an MP3 file, except that it’s usually more about 1 frame in length and doesn’t seem to happen every time the way it does with .MOVs. Any idea what’s going on and if I can do anything about it?
