audio gear for new system
Upgrading my system. I edit short films and documentaries SD, mainly dialog/interviews, some vo and simple scoring. I’m getting a new mac pro [using a macbook pro now], have a production monitor JVC TMH150, an apple display 23″, and i’m looking for recommendations regarding audio gear. Looking at studio monitors around $600, saw a pair of Tannoy’s reveal 5A on sale for that price, good choice or? Also what do i need in terms of connecting it all, what’s better a mixer either mackie 402VLZ/802VLZ or allen & heath zed 10 with usb, or a usb audiobox like presonus or edirol’s ua-25ex? And then the best way to connect it all, and what type of cables?
