I was using Vegas 10 to edit a project but when I clicked to use an audio FX (something that I rarely use) only to be told that they were all missing. How long ago they went missing I have no idea?

When I ran CCleaner today it said that the registry entries could be deleted because I was missing shared dll’s. I didn’t delete them with CCleaner.

I have a friend who also has Vegas 10 installed so I saw where they were stored on his PC & copied the audio Plug in’s. I tried pasting this file into my PC but found that the layout for Sony folders was slightly different. Perhaps one was for 32 bit & the other 64 bit or something like that.

In any event I opened Vegas 10 on my machine dragged on an clip & clicked audio FX & up came Plug-in chooser that that lists several Folders including Sony, others etc. But at the top of this dialog box it says ‘no plug ins in chain.

    How do I fix this?

    Thanks in advance

I would recommend a complete uninstall and re-install of Sony Vegas Pro 10.0. I would also remove all of the Sony folders after uninstalling since you copied files from another computer into them. If you have an backup you can also ways go back to a time when the audio plug-ins worked… but most people don’t back up there systems.

It’s Chris’s. Since the only think that I see is z1which suggests perhaps a missing link on that reply?

    Thanks in advance

Yea, I didn’t get the ‘z1’ reference either. I guess we’ll have to wait for Chris to reply.
