I have migrated an old project from FCP7 to premiere CC and am experiencing audio static at some points on the timeline.
In FCP there was no issue.

The sequence is set to 48,000 hz, but some of the audio is 96,000 hz. I have tried to send the higher frequency material to audition and re-save as 48,000 with strange results. (I didn’t apply any filters)

In premiere with the newly formatted sound, sometimes it plays back fine, sometimes it is silent and sometimes it is fuzzy.

There are 6 layers of active sound at the problem points.

Is there a setting I need to change to avoid this?

    Many thanks
