Often when a .VOB is renamed to .mpg to allow it to be imported into Premiere Pro, it will import, but the audio will not be imported. To fix this issue, search the Encore folder for the file: ad2ac3dec.dll.

Copy that file, and paste into the top level Adobe Premiere Pro folder (you will see many other .dll files there). Restart Premiere Pro, and then re-import the renamed file, and the audio will import after that WITH the video.

good trick. I usually open the VOB file in VLC player and export out a wav file, then import that. But simpler is better.
