Audio fine on DVCAMplayback, incredibly low when captured to FCP

Do the captured files show any audio waveform at all?

I’ve encountered issues with DV capture where captured audio was inaudible in FCP, deck played fine, no levels in meters during capture. And waveform showed audio.

When I panned the Ch 1 to left and Ch 2 to right with the mixer, the audio was fine.

Some kind of phase cancellation that seems to occur only with some decks.

Thank you fine sir. When we manually pan the channels of the captured audio it works perfectly. I will check out the mixing and other hardware in the room where it was recorded to see why it only happens there and not the other rooms. At this point we have a solution to the FCP part of things and it’s just a matter of configuring the hardware in the recording location so it’s not necessary anymore.
