Audio file names on rendered dailies
I’m syncing dailies and rendering out them out as DNx36/MXF files for use in Avid. I noticed that the audio files on the dailies don’t keep their original file name and instead adopt the name of the video file. Is there a way to change this in Resolve? And if there isn’t, is there a workaround in Avid that will allow me to manually add metadata that will allow me to relink to original files later?

I haven’t used Resolve to do syncing of external audio in an offline/online scenario for several years…because of this issue.
Did a feature movie dailies in Resolve, and didn’t realize till later that the audio was not going to relink back to the originals. That was back in Resolve 10 i think.
If you are on the newest Resolve, than i would say they haven’t changed that issue yet.
As a solution, you could import the audio into Avid and do another round of syncing before making your edit bins.
If your timecode matches, it will take very little time at all to do the syncing.
