Posted by Anders Lilkaer on May 20, 2009 at 9:30 pm

    Hello again

I’ve tried to import various types of audio files, .wav. .Acc, Aiff –
same filetypes made from diffent programs also,..

But the sound is rather down-pitched, when i play ram-preview in AE –
Any know solution to this problem –

    Thank you very much !

Audio sample rate is in the Project Settings dialog box (File > Project Settings).

Changing the sampling rate in the project settings makes absolutely no difference for me. The audio in RAM preview plays back slow no matter what I set it at. This is very frustrating as it’s keeping me from completing a project.

I just discovered that the frame rate got changed in the Time Controls panel somehow. Changed it to 29.97 and it now plays back at correct pitch.

I had a similar problem. The pitch was down, but it was still in sync. The last thing I checked: Windows > Preview – Frame Rate.

I had the same problem and tried a variety of audio settings in AE with no luck. I ended up reducing the quality of the wav file in an audio editor and re-importing in AE.
I have moderate experience with After Effects, but have always stumbled around importing audio files that do not accompany video footage.
