    Hi there,

Am wondering if anyone has recommendations re software that can automatically perform audio file manipulations according to set schedule.

I know there are plenty of solutions to manually join tracks together, but am looking for something that can be setup to process all files in a particular folder.

Setting up a schedule to perform batch processing tasks would be great (e.g. at 10am join [ALL audio files] in [FOLDER “abc”] together according to creation time). Even better would be the possibility of adding an overlay music track – but I’m not expecting miracles.

Any thoughts appreciated. Happy to use an advanced media workflow solution, but perhaps there is a simple, elegant solution out there?

Audacity is likely capable of doing all the processing you asked about. It already has some automatic scheduling features, but it is open-source which means that it can be modified to do whatever is needed. That is where I would start looking.

    Thanks Richard,

I use Audacity a lot already, so that is good news.

I’ll look into Audacity’s scheduling functionality and see what is possible…

    Cheers,

    Edan
