audio fade help
Hi All,
Probably an easy one, but am new to vegas, so bare with me…
The normal audio fades raise the volume from 0, is there any way that i can fade the volume from full volume to a 0, so just ‘flipping’ the fade curve to start from the top corner? am sure there is, i just can’t find it

I’m confused here with what you’re trying to accomplish.

That’s normal behaviour for a fade-in (at the beginning of a clip).
…fade the volume from full volume to a 0…
That’s normal behaviour for a fade-out (at the end of a clip).
Try experimenting with volume envelopes to see if this is what you’re looking for.

insert an envelope into the clip adjust away. “V” will insert, right click on the track header will also give you a choice to insert a volume envelope.
Add Points and adjust.

Don, your tip helped greatly, different way as to how i thought it would be done, but achieved the exact effect i was looking for.
Mike, i basically had a soundtrack split into 3. Section 1 & 3 to be full volume, but the middle section to start at full volume, but to quickly “fade” down to half volume, and then fade back upto full volume for the start of section 3….hope that made sense!thanks again for the help
