Today when I’ve tried to do a ram preview with some footage and audio, the computer will render, and then pop up with this message-

After Effects error: opening file “%s”. sound channel – can’t open Quicktime handler (-2004).

It will play the visual but not the audio. Any ideas? I’ve tried re-installing AE (fixed it the last time this happened, but doesn’t seem to be working today.

yes, I’ve tried listening to wav’s and aif’s all with the same result. I’ve tried this with several different older projects of mine to make sure that it wasn’t a problem with the specific footage. Nothing will play audio.
