Activity Forums Media 100 audio error on export

  • audio error on export

Posted by Jerome Robbins on March 17, 2010 at 4:14 pm

    Mac OS 10.3.9 media 100 8.2.2 l/xr

I digitized a cassette tape of voice audio into the NLE adjusted on the timeline. I have tried exporting as an AIFF and QT movie but keep getting an error message a few minutes into the export.

Any ideas as to why the audio won’t export? What can I try?

    Thanks for any help!

a window comes up with the word ERROR in the title and the window is empty and grayed out. The system locks up and I have to force quit and re-start.

try exporting something else. Does it happen with all exports or just this program?

Can you try running the hardware test and report the results.

I tried exporting a short video + audio clip as a reference movie. I got the big error window:
error -19003 Paramater 1 $6151557 the rest parameters were $0
    socket 7 line 367 hardware rev 802

So I rebooted and exported as a self contained movie: It exported fine.

Then I tried an audio only track again as AIFF and got the Error window with nothing in it but it was locked up.

The media 100 8.2.1 for Mac OS X disc lists on the cover Application Install and hardware Diagnostics.
But, when I insert the disc it has: Media 100i installer, Media 100 manuals, Wipe designer Examples, Adobe after Effects Plug in, Bars and Tones, and 844X 2.0.5 InstantMedia

    there is no Hardware Diagnostics.

Do you know what I am suppossed to do to test the hardware?

There should be a hardware test in the Applications> Media 100 folder.

What version of Quicktime are you using?

Thank you very much. I found the hardware test and ran it. Results everything passed.
    The QT viersion is 7.2.0

I have some audio voice tapes to put on CD. I was hoping to use Media100 as I am most familiar with it and have done it before. But maybe I will have to use Garge Band and run the audion tape signal through an iMic.

I still would like to solve this issue though. Thanks for the help.
