Audio equipment list
Hi everyone, lately I’ve been reading up and doing research on what equipment I should buy for the audio side of my production. I want to make feature films and will be primarily a one man crew- tough I am aware of that but I can do it. So here’s a preliminary list of equipment I will be buying in a few weeks, all advice and comments are welcome.
* One Sennheiser MKH 50 mic for the internal and some external scenes. (Will buy the MKH 416 for proper shotgun useage at later date.) $1280. (Including an extended 3 year warranty.)

* Matthews Hollywood Century C Stand Grip Head Kit, Black – 10.5′ (3.2m) To go with the above for boom poles and when I have lighting. $140

* Sanken cos 11d xlr mic black For all my lav needs. $500 including extended 2 year warranty.
(I will buy two of these so I can wire up two people when they are speaking and not worry.)
* Pelican 1020 micro case for the above sanken lavs. $12

* Tascam Dr100 $450 For mainly recording the lavs into when I need a far away shot which cables would not be an option. Cheaper alternative to the g3 wireless set.
Speakers running out of money and don’t want to spend loads but need speakers good enough for dialogue etc. Ideally spend around $1000 – either
* Genelecs without the sub woofer https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc…ive_2_Way.html
* JBL and a sub seperate:

* Yamaha with a sub woofer: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc…g_System_.html
Oh and some star quad cables. One 2 meter one, 2 lots of 15 meters and 1 nice long 30 meter
Wow sorry this turned into a bit of an essay. Just wanted to note that depending on how the audio is a further payment after all the above would be to buy a hd-p2 for £500 to record all my audio into along with an 8gb ultra flash card.
Also will be buying adobe cs4 so I can do better video and audio edits.
