    Premiere Pro CS3.

I playback/preview the edited area to find the audio is dropping every few seconds.

the audio bar shows there is sound there, and when I move the start position ahead or behind the previous position the places where the sound drops out are different as well.

    Any solutions?

    Hi Jon,
first off, thanks loads for a simple direct answer and not some link to ‘go read the rules and post your details’ like I get on adobeforums.

The music file is .wav but the audio from the video is .mpeg
And I seem to be having trouble with both.

If it’s just a ‘glitch’ on playback that works itself out when rendered and saved then I can put up with it.

But, obviously it’s something that should be fixed.

    Great showreel, by the way.
    I aspire and press on

Mpeg as in from DVD or such, will cause issues. Take the audio only from the MPeg sources and render out the audio into a WAV format, but opening the files in the source monitor, then file>export>Audio
Reimport them into PProCS3 and use the replace function you should have no more problems.
