  Audio drops – any new developments on this?

  I’ve found a lot of threads, including a 9 page one, concerning audio drops in the middle of playback, but none that seem to have a definitive answer. This started happening to me recently, leading me to believe it was the last update from Adobe. This is the issue where playback of video is fine, the audio however drops intermittently, coming back if playback is stopped and restarted.

  I’ve reinstalled drivers to my UR242, cleared the cache in PPro, reset the cache to reside on an alternate drive that has nothing but PPro and AE caches, all to no avail.

  By the way, this is a project with two audio tracks. It’s an interview with a music bed, so it’s not overloading my system.

  Just wondering if any progress has been made on this or if a lot of people are experiencing the issue with the last update. It’s impossible to get a feel for an edit when you have to stop it every 3-5 seconds to get audio back.
