Audio Dropouts in Premier 2.0
I am editing a 48hz/PAL DV project that combines XD, DV and HDV.
I am having a terrible time with the audio drop outs. For some reason when playing back a sequence, the audio intermittantly drops out and comes back. Nearly every time I am working on something, it gets so bad that I have to quit the application. When I restart Premier it comes back perfectly, but gradually gets worse, etc. etc.
Anyone know what’s wrong and/or experiencing the same thing?

Possibly the combination of three different formats (XD, DV and HDV) in one DV project?

Where is the audio being stored? Keep in mind that all audio that is part of a “non-native” clip (XDcam or HDV on a DV timeline, etc, or a DV PAL clip on a DV NTSC timeline) is conformed to an uncompressed file.
If these uncompressed audio conform files are located on a slow system drive (C: drive) or a really full AND/OR fragmented drive, they will sputter just like any other meda file will…
