    Hi all,
Yes, I did read a few posts on audio-drop outs but I didn’t see anything there that fixed my issue specifically. At certain points in my SD sequence the audio drops out. Its a compilation of sorts with multiple music and video audio tracks all at the same 48khz rate etc but at a few random points in the sequence PART of the audio drops out on one of the tracks for a second or two. Not the entire audio just one track of several. All levels are balanced so I’m lost for answers. Here are some strange things about it:

1.) Where it drops out and where it picks back up match up with in or out points of certain tracks as well as key frames on some audio tracks. I’ve adjusted these in’s and out’s only to have the drop out either not change or move to another spot.

2.) (The ghost part) Whats even MORE strange is that if I play the track back starting it within a few seconds of this drop out everything is there and there is no drop out!!! It sounds perfect. But if I start the edit playing more than about 5 seconds before the drop out point the audio drops out…or disappears…

    Any ideas?

I’ve seen weird audio stuff like this. Usually has to do with audio rendering and/or mixdown. You change something, but Fcp still utilizes a render file. Happens frequently if you mixdown mid project.

Try deleting all the audio render files and restarting FCP.
