So I’m working on a project for which the audio was captured on Metacorder, and it seemed pretty straightforward. I imported the files (waves which were converted to aifs) at NDF 29.97, which were the record settings on the cameras and, supposedly, the’corder. There was about a 25 frame drift in TC, so I grouped by inpoint, and at first it seemed to have worked, but when you get downstream of the sync point, a drift emerges.

I tried re-importing at NDF 30, DF 29.97 and DF 30 just in case, but no dice. I tried importing without converting to aif. There was even an option to look for and correct pulldown while importing audio. Nothing has worked.

Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong? Or was the audio really captured at a different speed, despite all indications otherwise?

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks
    Gabe

I can’t think of why it’s driftin’ on ya.
You can try using the time compresion/expansion plugin though. Just look at the original clips duration and enter that as the new duration of the new clip. Make sure you correct the pitch.
I will keep thinkin’ on why it’s doin this…
