    Hello,

So I have a .mp4 file when I play it with VLC I get the audio just fine, but when imported I can’t hear anything. This is weird since I have two other .mp4 files that do play audio. Only this one file doesn’t play any audio.

If anybody can help I’d greatly appreciate it.

Where did this file come from? What does VLC say about the audio track in media information?

I used handbrake to encode this file, it’s a gameplay capture.

    VLC says about the audio

codec : MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a)
    Channels: Stereo
    Sample rate: 48000 Hz

That’s about it, I can’t really see anything out of the ordinary.

It’s also the same as another file that does play in Premiere Pro.

Guess the problem solved itself, it suddenly worked.
