  • Audio does not sync with speed of the video

Hello. I have a video in Vegas Pro 17 where certain sections are slowed down (0.5x). The audio during the slowed down sections however remains the same speed and does not slow down accordingly. After editing, if I try manually speeding up the video with MPC player, the audio does however speed up, but it is now faster than the video.

I’m sure there’s a simple solution that I’ve overlooked but can anyone advise a method where audio speed is proportionate to the video speed throughout? Many thanks!

There is a new tool in HappyOtterScripts that does exactly this called SpeedRamp.

    Here’s a link to the demo. https://tools4vegas.com/wp-content/uploads/SpeedRampDemo_TV.mp4

You can find more information about the HappyOtter toolset at https://tools4vegas.com/.

    Hi Ben

This is what I use to maintain Pitch and Timber when playing with velocity. I use it a lot when I have a 30 spot and the voice over supplied is over that. …and it’s free !

If you change speed using the “Playback Rate” (or a CTRL-Resize), it will change both video and audio the same. As long as you don’t need to “ramp” the speed change, that will let you easily keep the audio and video at the same speed.
