[Ivars Trautmanis] “Would you suggest using this cabel? – https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/562038-REG/Remote_Audio_CAX3F1_8MS_CA...

That cable is a BALANCED MONO cable (XLR-1/8″ TRS) designed for a specific kind of balanced mono input.

The 1/8″ TRS inputs on many units are STEREO, UN-Balanced jacks, and require adapter cables that are wired differently than the one at the link.

You need to know which recording unit you are purchasing before you know which cables to buy to match it.

    Go for this one:

    https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/600761-REG/Zoom_H4N_H4n_Handy_Mobile_4_Track.html

It’s got balanced XLR inputs that provide phantom power and the preamps are very good for the price.

Thank for your help Will and Thax.

Maybe you can suggest some good mic’s?

Whatever you buy, go for a mic that you will NEVER regret having bought. I recommend: an Audio-Technica 4053b or a Sennheiser MKH416. When my university finally bought an MKH416 to supplement our ME66s, I was amazed at the A/B comparison between the two.

A hypercardioid pattern will tend to be better for indoor scenes, whereas a shotgun mic will tend to be better for outdoor scenes. You will NEVER outgrow either of those mics and, if used properly and within their capabilities, they will serve you well.
