    Hi,
I recently started using Premiere to put together some video files I had lying around on my computer. They’re all at 30fps, and the sound syncs just fine. However, after putting it through Premiere (Rate changes, etc., and added a “global” music track) the audio desyncs from where I wanted it. Neither the original audio track, nor the “global” music track are where they should be.

It seems that the audio is all right near the beginning, but toward the end, the audio’s way off. I’m guess it has something to do with the frame rates, but I have no idea how to remedy the problem. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi,
Is every thing in your time line rendered ? just play the sound without video(video track off) and listen if sound drops or skips or changes speed.

    good luck
    bye

Yeah everything’s rendered. I tried what you suggested, and everything sounds like it should. Additionally, if I play the rendered movie in the preview window with the sound, the sound is sync’ed up with the video…

OK, so I just realized my project is in 29.97 fps… I’m guessing this might have something to do with the problems? If so, is there a way to convert it back to a 30 fps project, or do I have to start over from scratch?
