So i captured a episode from spongebob squarepants and the quality isn’t good.
Then i downloaded the same episode but in english and quality is good.
So i tried to sync mine captured the only reason is the audio, cause the audio the episode i recorded was in bulgarian. and the downloaded video was english.
So i tried to sync them, but whatever i do it doesn’t work.

Frame rate of the english one is: 29.97
Frame rate of the bulgarian one is: 26.46

I feel like the one in bulgarian it goes faster than the one in english and that’s the problem that i can’t sync them.

    What should i do?
I tried converting the bulgarian one to 29.97 using Handbrake but again it’s 26.46

    Hi Ivan

Can you post a Mediainfo on that 26.46 frame rate file ?

    https://mediaarea.net/fr/MediaInfo/Download

That is one funky frame rate…

    Cheers !

The video is probably in NTSC, which has a 29.97 frame rate, i.e. slightly less than 30 FPS. That means that on long runs, the audio and video desync is inevitable since audio files is at 30 “fps”.
Same for 59.98 NTSC and 60 FPS.
You have to adjust for that.

    Hi Izzy and Ivan

I do believe that Ivan’s problem lies with the fact that when he tries to match a 26.46 audio frame rate with a 29.97 video frame rate, there’s bound to be some de-synchronization. I’m guessing that when he recorded the Bulgarian version, the capture software was the culprit and recorded it at 26.46 fps. (You may want to see if your capture software can be set to a different frame rate). There are numerous capture software out there and many users are using playback apps like VLC or other that have built-in ”compensation” thus one can’t tell if the file is ”kosher”. Another add-on that creates numerous problem is the K-Lite pack.

That is why a Mediainfo readout can be useful in order to isolate the problem.

    Cheers !

So now im trying to sync a new video.

We Bare Bears clip with my captured in bulgarian..

So first i tried to sync them..
    Framerate were:
    The English one: 23.97
    The bulgarian one: 25.15

and the bulgarian is a little bit faster.
Like in the very begginning it was synced, then it slowly loses its sync.

Then tried converting the bulgarian one from 25.15 to 23.97 using handbrake.

Now im trying to sync them where the framerates were:
    The english one: 23.97
    the bulgarian one: 23.97

and.. again it’s the same thing.

IN THE VERY Beginning it is some sort of synced, and then slowly it loses its sync.

    Also some more information.
i record them with bandicam, and always it gets different framerates everytime i record a show.
Maybe a gumball or we bare bears or spongebob. always is different.
But ALWAYS i can sync gumball whatever the framerates are.. But never any other show..
Now im sitting with two videos. One being my bulgarian and one being the english one of we bare bears
both of them 23.97 framerates. and the bulgarian is slowly losing the sync like the bulgarian its faster.
When im using the time stretch tool it works!!! in sony vegas when i use the time stretch it syncs perfectly. but then also the audio gets a litle bit weird and i don’t want that.
    so what should i do…

mediainfo on the bulgarian one 23.97: https://prnt.sc/pciar0
mediainfo on the english one 23.97: https://prnt.sc/pcibd3

    Hi Ivan

I would start by using a different recording software. Something that will record at the same frame rate as the one you are trying to match. Things can go awry very fast when you start playing with frame rates. Conversion is one thing but it doesn’t always works. The best approach is to start with frame rate matching material.

    Cheers !
