So I’m pulling my hair out on this. I have a mixed HD footage Multi-Camera edit. 2 tracks are XDCAM EX 1080/30 HQ and one is HDV 1080/60i. I get into the multicam edit like normal and when I open the multi-camera monitor to start cutting the audio starts cutting in and out intermittenly.Play back from the timeline is fine, just when I’m editing in the Multi-cam monitor. I’m only using the audio from Audio 1 in the master timeline, “Audio FOllows Video” is unchecked. It’s completely random. I’m editing in a XDCAM EX 1080/30 HQ preset project. No FX or titles. Tried rendering the timelines, deleting the preview files and cache, then rendering again…nada. I even tried deleting all audio from the timeline, except for the audio on Audio 1, no change, still cuts in and out randomly.

    My System:

    XP Pro SP3
    Premiere Pro CS3 (3.2)
    dual Quad Core Xeons
    4GB RAM
8 drive RAID 0 array, defraged and nearly half empty
    Quadro CX video card
    Blackmagic Multibridge Extreme (7.2)

All my caches and preview folders are set to my RAID. I’ve tried changing the Buffer Size in the ASIO settings dialog (1024-8092) no change. All my drivers are up to date, even quicktime. I’m outta ideas. Thanks for any suggestions you can throw my way.

Did you ever get this resolved? Or is it still an issue?
    Cheers
