Audio crackle through Compressor.
I’m getting an audio crackle I can’t zero in on. I’m working with an 8bit uncompressed SD timeline, four channels audio, all levels close to original settings, not over-modded or jacked up. I’m exporting off the timeline to Compressor and using an Episode scheme in Compressor – .mov files, .h.264, 64/48 audio. The final .mov file has a light audio crackle to it. When I bypass Compressor, meaning export a uncompressed QT file off the timeline and then open that in Episode independently, and then compress with the same scheme, the audio is clean. But that’s the hard way and not why I have Episode. I don’t have any audio settings set in Compressor, outside the Episode scheme, at least as far as I know. Seems to be a consistant problem with other files, all with different audio levels. Any thoughts?
I’m running FCP6 on OS 10.4.11 on a dual 3.0 MacPro with a Kona LHE card. Mackie mixer. Episode 5.1.1.
