Audio Compressor to work in Windows Media Player 11
I have been exporting an animation from my iMac using AE 6.5 and the H.264 compressor.
I am using a PC laptop with Windows Media Player 11 to play back the clip over three external monitors using a TripleHead2Go box. Windows Media Player has the smoothest playback I have found for this task.
However it won’t play the audio on the animation. At first I was using no compression. And then I have tried using the ones from the drop down menu in AE6.5.
Does anyone know any compatible audio compressors that will work with WMP11? It is my final hurdle to get this project finished. I tried installing a codec for WMP11 however once installed it would not let me even play the clip through WMP11, even after uninstalling the codec! I ended up having to do a system restore just so that I could get it to play in WMP11.
Alternatively if anyone knows of any other good media players that will work on a PC and playback smootly with audio I would be very greatful. Here are some I have tried with the results I get:
Quicktime: Plays the clip (inc audio) but jerkily and drops frames.
VLC: Plays clip (no audio) smoothish but not as smooth as WMP
DivX Player: Plays clip (with Audio) but jerkily.Further information on the clip and use of the clip:
3840 x 768 size, playing over 3 monitors using Matrox TripleHead2Go box. The clip will be playing fullscreen and looping over the three monitors.
I hope someone is able to help as this is REALLY confusing me and just the last hurdle I need to get over before this project can be signed off!
Many thanks,
Martin
