Is there a way to shut off 2 of the audio channels when shooting 480 at DVCpro 50? Importing it into FCP I get all 4 channels and I only need 2. I know I can easily delete them in FCP but can I also easily not record them?

    Thanks,

    -Lars

No — it always records 4 channels.

Get the most from your DVX camera. The DVX Book and DVX DVD are now available on ebay and at Amazon (https://www.fiftv.com/db)

[Barry Green] “No — it always records 4 channels.”
Maybe that should be a feature request for the next upgrade, to be able to turn off each audio channel if it’s not needed. It would save some space on the P2 cards.

A tiny tiny bit but yes.
