    Hi,

    Using Premiere Pro CC 2014

I have a L&R stereo audio track which I’d like to convert to mono. When I right click on it and select “Audio Channels”, I get the “Modify Clip” dialogue box. But most of the options are grayed out including “Channel Format” which I’d like to change to “Mono”.

Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Not sure I was clear in the above post, but I’m talking an audio track already edited into my Composition , not in the Project window. I realize I can do this with the source audio in the Project window, but I thought I could also convert a stereo clip in the composition to a mono clip. Is that possible?

Modifying the clip in the project bin does not change any instances of the clip that are already in the timeline. You need to replace it on the timeline to see the changes. You can use Fill Right with Left or Fill Left with Right effect on the audio in the timeline to get a mono output.

Ahh, ok. Fill Right with Left or Fill Left with Right effect. Got it. Thanks!
