  Audio channel content moves out of sync

  This has just started happening recently and it’s really consuming a lot of my time. I edit a film to completion and I back it up to an external hard drive and delete the original files on the main hard drive.
  If I require any re-edits I copy the backed up files back to the main hard drive and for some reason the content of Audio Channel 2 has moved forwards ever so slightly.

  Anyone got any ideas as to why this is happening?

  I’m using Premiere Pro CC on an iMac.
