audio capture
Posted by Miss2z Miss2z on June 8, 2007 at 3:49 pmHow do I capture audio from a USB microphone? I simply opened my capture window, but I’m not hearing anything.
Thanks,

June 8, 2007 at 4:00 pmI don’t know about a USB mic, but audio capturing is done with the Audio Mixer, not the Capture window.

June 8, 2007 at 4:37 pmI’ve always recorded onto a tape and just digitized in the capture window. So, now that you’ve told me about the Audio Mixer window to capture audio, I set it up and the audio is coming in only faintly. I can’t seem to get beyond this problem. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

June 8, 2007 at 4:58 pmI found the solution: I went into the Windows Sound & Audio Control Panel and hit the Audio tab then hit the Volume butter under Sound Recording to bring up the volume control slider. The slider was set to low, so I raised it. That worked.
