I’ve had a few discs lately where the video played fine, but the audio was missing. Played fine for me, but not for the client. Could this be because of too high a bit rate? My videos are short (10-15 minutes) so since space isn’t an issue, I’ve been cranking the bit rate up to around 8000kbs. I’ve been using the Main Concept encoder in Adobe Premiere 6.5 & using PCM audio.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

AC3 is more compatible for audio- check your manual for encoding details.

Thanks Noah. I have Canopus Pro Coder Express & the Main Concept encoder that came bundled with Premiere 6.5, and neither of them have an option for AC3 as far as I can tell. Just PCM, and MPEG1 & 2. Am I mising something or does that sound possible.

Again I am not familiar with you software but I’d be surprised if AC3 is not in the index of your manual somewhere.
