Audio behind
When I capture from a Sony DVCAM DSR 85 deck via a Decklink Extreme card the audio lags the video by about 3 frames. (component capture) This has just started to happen and I first thought it was a FCP issue but I have used the Blackmagic Deck Control utility to capture (zero offsets) and the problem still exists. The tape plays OK.
Any ideas would be helpful.

How did you fix the problem? I’ve got the same thing happening with digibeta on sdi and beta on component UVW1800.
I’ve tried trashing the preferences as others have reccomended but no joy.
It would be a great help if I knew what was causing itmany thanks

My problem was due to how I had configured my system. In order to feed a SVHS deck and SVHS monitor I was coming from the decklink in component to my DSR 85 and then taking SVHS from there. I was very close to taking my system back to my Dealer for a rebuild.
So just before I did that I connected my monitor to the composite output from decklink, problem gone, my video and audio were in sync. However I am left with an inferior connection to my monitor and no SVHS connection. Audio has remained the same, from the decklink to a Mackie mixer and then to some Tannoy’s
I assumed it was my setup was causing the problem, but could it be the component output from decklink ?

I thought about what you said and quickly swapped round the outputs to the monitor to check but the lag was present in
both cases. Decklink seem to think that it’s not a common problem. I have tried this in a dual G4 mac AND a G5 with both final cut 4.5 and 5 but the same thing happens. The lag is only 3 frames for component but it’s way off for SDI from Digibetathanks for you help though
