I got a QT NTSC DV file, captured from a DVCPro tape via FW. It is part from a series and all tapes captured fine, but this one has the audio sample rate at 48091.5Hz… Tried to figure out if there’s anything related to the different framerates, modifying the speed, the pitch, re-export as 48Khz, nothing works. The audio is obviously offsync, more and more by the end of the tape. Anything to do with 0.1% speed up ? I’m a bit lost about all these flavors.

    Thanks
    Pierre

I don’t think so. Unfortunately, that was my assistant who captured the tape and since every other DVCPro tapes of the series were fine, I can’t see what’s wrong capturing via Firewire. And the tape plays fine if I monitor from the deck.

I had to capture again but only had a deck with SDI output. I got TC break, which I didn’t have with FW, but finally succeed to get the audio sync at 48Khz.

I found another post here for a similar problem, the audio was never tight on 48Khz, but it was when capturing at 44.1Khz. I didn’t try that, but that sounds weird.
