Hi, using a Tascam DR-40 and a Sennheiser ME66/K6 – Super-Cardioid Mic Capsule with K6 power (turned off), using phantom power on the Tascam, I’m getting this “ticking” sound artifact.

I haven’t had it in the past and may have accidentally had a wrong setting that day, but wondering if anyone recognizes it and knows what it might be.

    Thanks.

Hello James and welcome to the Cow Audio Forum.

I don’t hear ticks as much as I hear whirs; like a camera fan motor or other motor nearby.

Does the camera you used make that sound when rolling?
