audio and video don’t match
Posted by Balsam Mahmoud on January 11, 2009 at 2:06 amHello All.
while watching video after capturing it in from my camcorder, i notice after about 10 minutes that the video and audio do not match anymore. The audio starts to play ahead/faster than the video.
Can someone tell me why this is happening and what the solution is.Thanks

January 12, 2009 at 7:06 amif you watch the footage outside of premiere is it still out of sync?
has it been rendered in the premiere timeline ?
could be one of a few issues depending on your situation

January 12, 2009 at 12:38 pmHi and thanks for the response.
You’re right, if i watch it outside of premiere it is not out of sync, but i need to edit it using premiere. So what do i do? -

January 13, 2009 at 11:15 pmwhen you brought the clip into premiere did you have to render it before playback?
if thats the case try discarding your renders and running them again, its time consuming but sometimes PPRO can corrupt your render files

January 14, 2009 at 3:15 amHello,
No, when i brought the clip into premiere, i didn’t do any rendering. I was just scrumming through the time line and noticed while i was watching that this started to happen. I had not done any rendering yet…just captured and watched. don’t know what’s going on?????? -

January 19, 2009 at 6:14 pmHi,
I tried this a different way. I imported the clips and rendered them….and it worked perfectly, everything in sync. But then when i go to edit, it’s all out of sync again. I’m thinking i could just edit and then re-render, but it will make things much more difficult because i’ld have to depend on the video alone without the audio.
